Anfacer announces results for the Brazilian ceramics sector in the first half of 2024

The Brazilian ceramics sector showed positive results in the first half of 2024 in relation to the domestic market, according to information compiled by Anfacer's data intelligence system.

From January to June this year, floor and wall covering production amounted to 403.5 million square meters, an increase of 7.9% compared to the first half of 2023. Total sales amounted to 399.6 million square meters, an increase of 5.7% compared to the same period last year.

In terms of exports, Brazil made deals totaling 42.7 million square meters, down 2.49% compared to the same period in 2023. In terms of value, export revenues amounted to US$ 175.3 million.  

The United States was the main destination for Brazilian exports, followed by Paraguay, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile and Panama.
