Anfacer attends the Brazil-France Economic Forum

The Brazil-France Economic Forum took place on June 6. The event was organized by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the Ministry of Development, Trade and Services (MDIC) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) in partnership with the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Mouvement des Entreprises de France International (MEDEFi) and Business France.

Represented by Melissa Sarinho, an international relations professional, Anfacer attended the forum, which covered topics such as economic and environmental challenges in global trade - with an emphasis on decarbonization and energy transition initiatives - infrastructure projects, mobility and green investment opportunities.

COP 30, which will be held in Belém, in the state of Pará, in Brazil, in November, was also discussed, mainly from the point of view of the important role of the private sector in achieving the goals, at a time when the Paris Agreement, approved by 195 countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, is ten years old.

The forum was opened by Jorge Viana, president of ApexBrasil, who highlighted the importance of the union between the two countries in the fight against climate change and Brazil as a hope for progress in tackling this situation.

The event also included a closing speech by the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, as well as the presence of Brazilian and French ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats and businesspeople, celebrating and strengthening the political, diplomatic, cultural and economic relationship between the two countries.
