Brazil stands out when it comes to the production and export of ceramic tiles and has already consolidated its place among the main players in the world market. The country is the third largest producer and also the third largest consumer market in the world, according to data from the National Association of Manufacturers of Ceramics for Coatings, Sanitary Ware and Congeners (Anfacer).
The sixth largest exporter in the world, authentic Brazilian design is recognized globally. In 2022, Brazil exported to more than 110 countries, totaling 113.1 million m², which is equivalent to a revenue of US$ 512.5 million. The main destinations for Brazilian exports are South America, Central America, North America and the Caribbean.
The ceramic sector has 71 manufacturing units, divided into three main regional centers: in the states of São Paulo and Santa Catarina and in the Northeast region of the country. It also generates thousands of jobs, around 50,000 direct jobs and 200,000 indirect jobs.
The country also stands out in sustainability. Brazil produces one of the greenest ceramics in the world, with lower consumption of water, gas and electricity per square meter.
