Brazilian ceramics on the rise
The Brazilian ceramic tile industry is a major player on the world market, ranking third in production and consumption. It is also the sixth largest exporter in the world, with sales to more than 110 countries on all continents.
Last year Brazil produced 792.9 million square meters and earned US$392 million from exports, with the USA as its main destination.
Sustainable cladding
Brazilian ceramics are some of the greenest in the world, produced with respect for the environment and intelligent use of natural resources. The Brazilian production process has the lowest energy and gas consumption in the world and uses 30% less water than other major producers. Manufacturing waste is returned as raw material to the production line and water is treated and reused (closed cycle).
