Straight from Italy, Cersaie 2024, the largest international trade fair for ceramics and design for architecture, is coming to its 41st edition with a fresh look at architecture and decoration. This year, the main inspirations are connected to nature, the revival of the classics and experimentation with materials.
In perfect harmony with the novelties presented at the fair, Eliane coverings stand out, offering solutions in line with these trends in unique and elegant projects. In this article, we'll explain three trends that promise to transform environments, presenting the Eliane tiles that represent them.
Inspired by movements such as biomimicry and biodesign, the search for fidelity to the essence of natural materials is gaining even more strength at this edition of Cersaie. With the advance of 3D printing technologies, new surfaces are emerging, reproducing materials such as stone, marble, wood, among others.
The visual and tactile sophistication is surprising, bringing naturalness and inviting touch. Also noteworthy are the reliefs and textures with striped and linear effects, which maintain the contemporary air and a genuine connection with nature.
In line with this trend, the Risca series, co-created with the FGMF architecture office, features textured and linear surfaces, heightening the sensory experience and creating versatile compositions. The imperfect details bring a natural aesthetic, perfect for projects that value the organic beauty of materials.
Another highlight is Khali Zen, a flooring inspired by the textures of the Rub'al-Khali desert, which has immersive textures, providing warmth and minimalist design.
The term "Metaclassical" is gaining ground among the trends seen at Cersaie 2024. The protagonists of this inspiration are stones such as Slate, Limestone and Travertine, recreated with modern printing technologies.
The result is coverings that blend tradition with a contemporary look, using bold cuts and large-format pieces that give a new look to architectural classics.
A reinterpretation of Brazilian Slate, the series co-created by Cité Arquitetura with Eliane, is one of the examples of coverings that fit in with this inspiration. The soft, sensory nuances offer naturalness and elegance, with shades never seen before in nature and a strong appeal to the touch.
Raw materials gain new colors, textures and unprecedented finishes at Cersaie 2024. The techniques used in the coatings allow for unique compositions, between neutral and vibrant effects, and often contrast with materials such as stone and cement, resulting in sophisticated and balanced looks. Ceppo di Grè, a classic of Italian architecture, also appears in new versions, applicable to residential projects with a more modern proposal.
The Olaria series, developed in collaboration with renowned architect Arthur Casas, exemplifies this inspiration. Marked by textures and the nuances of raw materials such as adobe, the tiles in hexagonal and mosaic formats show that this aesthetic is here to stay.
Whether it's through a connection with nature, the revival of timeless materials or daring new combinations of textures and formats, Eliane tiles are ready to transform projects and inspire new creations. Which one did you identify with the most?
