With 20 years of history, Vidro Real, a company located in Mogi Mirim, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, currently exports 65% of its production. Among the destinations are Portugal, South Africa, Angola and the United States, as well as South and Central America.
Participation in international fairs such as Coverings and events such as the Brazil Ceramic Tiles Experience (BCTE), through the Ceramics of Brazil Sector Project, an Anfacer initiative, with the support of ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), was essential for prospecting clients from other countries.
In 2017, Vidro Real's sales in the Brazilian market reached 95%. However, after attending international events, 70% of production was dedicated to exports. "Our main market today is the United States, which consumes 75% of what we export. This represents more than half of our global turnover," says the company's export manager, Fernando Firmino.
In addition to trade fairs, the main strategy used by Vidro Real was to adapt its products for the international market. The company innovated, creating new colors and formats, specially designed to meet the requirements of the North American market.

Vidro Real expects to expand sales to the United States and build customer loyalty. "The aim is to expand our base in the US, where the average ticket is higher and the product is well accepted. We've been supplying a wide variety of products for five years now and we want to have our own stock to distribute the material," adds the export manager.
