Sustainability is a priority for ceramic tile companies in Brazil. The Brazilian industry is proud to produce some of the greenest ceramics in the world.
One example is Lepri Revestimentos, which has been investing in innovative solutions to minimize environmental impacts since 2005.
Sustainable Ceramic Tiles
The Lepri Indigo collection is a modern and timeless line that uses textile waste in its production. In Brazil, the annual disposal of textile waste can reach 4 million tons. Available in 7x7 format, this coating imitates denim and offers a soft, pleasant touch for walls.
Another innovation is the Lepri Mare line, which transforms plastic particles and glass from fluorescent lamps taken from the ocean into ceramic tiles with a delicate and innovative texture.
Complementing these initiatives, Lepri has developed Biological Enamel, made from wood oven ashes, providing a unique finish to environments.
OtherSustainable Actions
Lepri also stands out on other sustainability fronts. The company uses photovoltaic solar panels and electric forklifts, avoiding the emission of 229.7 tons of CO² per year.
It also maintains a 60-hectare plantation with integrated trees, capable of neutralizing 480 tons of CO² emitted during production.
By reducing the burning temperature of its products, Lepri reduces pollutant emissions and saves natural gas. These ecological practices reflect the commitment of Brazilian companies to a greener and more sustainable future.
